In 2004, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and the SBMA Board of Directors awarded the operations and management of the former US Navy Ship Repair Facility (SRF Compound) to Global Terminals and Development, Incorporated (GTI) to develop into a modern industrial and commercial complex.

Now called the Global Industrial Park, GTI controls and operates one of largest Private Port Facilities in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and this includes Alava Pier, Rivera Pier and Bravo Wharf. This facility is a vital logistical center for all US and other International Navy Ships, commercial vessels, break-bulk and dry cargo ships calling port to Subic Bay.

GTI Port Services.

Part of being the Private Port Facility Operator, GTI provides Solid Waste Collection, Sewage Collection   (CHT) for vessels, Oily Waste Collection, Port Security, Line Handling Services, Stevedoring and Allied Services for all types of vessels and cargo.

The GTI Managed Area.

GTI’s leasehold rights which was approved by the SBMA in 2004 covers almost the entire former US Navy SRF Compound, including adjacent lots and buildings outside the fence of this private facility for Industrial, Marine and Commercial use.

The development plan includes the construction of commercial buildings, condominium, hotels, offices, warehouses, and a cruise ship passenger terminal. A Multi-purpose auditorium is utilized for seminars and other functions with a combined seating capacity of 300 to 500 persons.

GTI is one of the biggest property developer and leasing company in Subic Bay. The Global Industrial Park is also home to several business locators in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone such as Ship Building and Repair, Boat and Small Craft Building, Manufacturing Companies, Fabrication Companies, Tugs and Salvage Companies, Warehousing, Hotel, Restaurants, BPO Center, and other business offices.
